Grammar

This article covers the basic grammar you have to understand before you can continue to study Structure 2.
In Structure 1, I will write about:
       Concords
a.       You should make sure that you use the masculine and feminine pronouns correctly.
b.       You should make sure that you use the correct singular and plural forms for verbs and pronouns.
c.       You should make sure that you use the correct form of nouns and determiners.


       Finite verbs
a.       You should make sure that every simple sentence and every main clause contains a finite verb.
b.       You should make sure that you use the finite and non-finite verbs correctly.


.     Tenses
You should make sure that you do not change the tenses form present to past or from past to present unless you have a good reason.

       Verbs group
a.       You should make sure that you use the correct forms of the verbs of a verbs group.
b.       You should make sure that you use the correct forms for questions and negative statements.


Clauses
a.       You should make sure that you use the sentence patterns correctly.
b.       You should make sure that each main clause and sub clause in the compound or compex sentence has a subject and a predicate.


       Articles
a.       You should make sure that you use a/an or the or a similar determiner before a singular countable noun.
b.       You should make sure that you do not put the article a/an before an uncountable noun or a plural countable noun.
c.       You should make sure that you do not put the article a/an or the before the name of a person, town, or country.


   
 Coordination
You should make sure that you use coordinating conjunctions correctly.


     
 Punctuation
You should make sure that you use the corect punctuations, the capital letters, full stops and question marks.


   
 Spelling
You should make sure that you spell the words correctly.
